The family consists of two mothers, two daughters, one grandmother, and one granddaughter. How many people are there in the family?

There are three people in the family. The grandmother is one of the mothers and has a daughter, who is the second mother and the daughter of the grandmother. The daughter also has a daughter, who is the granddaughter. So, the family includes the grandmother, her daughter (who is also a mother), and the granddaughter. This configuration satisfies all the conditions of having two mothers, two daughters, one grandmother, and one granddaughter.
